JOB PURPOSE

Should have handsome experience in Mechanical Maintenance of Boiler & Auxiliaries to handle day-to-day maintenance activities including preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance & overhaulings.

This position will report to AGM - Mechanical Maintenance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities Key Performance Indicators

Lead role to handle maintenance Activities:
planning and executing preventive and breakdown maintenance for boilers and their components, ensuring maximum availability and efficient operation.

handling emergency shutdowns, addressing valve failures, and maintaining soot blowers and the LDO system

participation in major overhauls, hydro tests, and boiler light-up activities

troubleshoot issues with the SADC system, burner tilting, and other auxiliaries. Maintenance of ESP systems, bag filters, and emission control systems

preparing the departmental AOP budget and ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards

supervising the team and ensuring proper resource management, including equipment, tools, and manpower.

Coordination with contractors, supervisors, and the operations department for safe equipment isolation

material identification, procurement, and inventory control, ensuring necessary spares are available

developing spares through reverse engineering

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • B E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Preferred:

 

  • Level-II (NDT) in RT, UT, MPT and DPT
  • Post Diploma in Industrial Safety
  • BOE certified

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 10- 15 Years of extensive experience in O&M/ Erection/ Commissioning of 300 MW or above capacity Thermal power plant.
  • Having extensive experience in all phase of mechanical activities like preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and breakdown maintenance, overhauling NDT etc., and having ability to lead the team in mechanical maintenance work
