JOB PURPOSE

Overall review of budgeting and cost control of all the EPC Highway Projects.

Responsible for implementation of macro and micro planning, scheduling and tracking of Terminal projects with reference to the master plan, resources and budget & generate MIS reports.

Planning Engineer Responsibilities

Proficiency in MS Project (MSP) and Primavera including MS office is must
Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing/review construction schedules for building/infrastructure project in MS Project and Primavera software
Preparing 7/15 days look ahead program and review the project progress and budgets.
Analysing project specifications and drawings to develop a construction schedule considering time effective ways to meet the same.
Liaising with client, contractors, and other stakeholders, managing resources, and communicating with project team and other field collaborators.
Should be able to analyse data, write/review daily/weekly/monthly reports, and deliver presentations to various stakeholders.
Planning personnel should demonstrate a sound knowledge of the construction industry and be able to anticipate problems/bottlenecks.
Participate in negotiating with vendors and contractors to secure the best prices.
Analysing construction drawings, observing existing processes/methodologies, analysing, and addressing deficiencies accordingly.
Monitoring and tracking project progress and writing up reports as per contract/client requirement.
Attending and scheduling progress review meetings and update the team accordingly.
Understanding and meeting all contractual requirements on day-to-day basis.
Communicating with managers, supervisors, and the rest of the team.
Strong analytical, critical, and logical thinking skills
A sound understanding of safety protocols and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
