Reporting Manager: Head - C&B and Policies

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Payroll Operations
- Manage end-to-end payroll for 7K+ employees across multiple sectors PAN India, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely disbursement (weekly, biweekly, monthly).
- Partner with HR, Accounting, and Treasury to maintain accurate employee records, reconcile payroll accounts, and ensure proper GL postings.
- Oversee payroll system governance, functional operations, and integration of new entities.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, collective bargaining agreements, and statutory requirements.
Systems & Process Management
- Collaborate with HRMS/HRIS teams for payroll, time, and attendance system implementation and optimization.
- Drive automation and process harmonization for efficiency and compliance.
- Establish and monitor SLAs with internal/external stakeholders; implement robust controls and audit-tested procedures.
Strategy & Roadmap
- Partner with Payroll Solution Architecture team to define strategic initiatives and enable technology adoption.
- Lead system integrations and resolve technical issues promptly.
Policy & Compliance
- Monitor input calendars and enforce necessary controls for error-free payroll processing.
- Ensure 100% audit compliance and adherence to governance standards.
Process Improvement
- Identify process gaps and implement best practices for operational excellence.
- Develop SOPs, process maps, and guides for all payroll activities.
Team Management & Development
- Set clear goals, performance benchmarks, and conduct periodic reviews.
- Provide training on payroll processes, SAP, and SuccessFactors; mentor team for continuous improvement.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to enhance retention.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with business leaders, BHRs, and CHROs to address payroll needs and resolve issues.
- Educate stakeholders on compliance and process accuracy.
Audits & Governance
- Liaise with auditors for payroll tax audits; provide timely and accurate data.
- Implement governance processes and systems to mitigate risks.
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare MIS, dashboards, and analytical reports for leadership reviews and decision-making.
- Partner with Analytics team to generate insights from payroll data.
Self-Development
- Stay updated on payroll trends, compliance requirements, and technology advancements to enhance role effectiveness.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate (B’com)/Post-Graduation(M’Com) with 15 years Plus
- MBA – HR with 10 Years
- Full time Qualification is a must.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- At least 15 Years’ experience in handling end to end payroll processing. Should have handled more than 10000 employee payroll processing. 7 to 8 yrs. exp as Payroll Manager including 7 or more years of financial management experience.
- Knowledge of applicable statutory components
- Good oral, written communication skill
- Expert knowledge of multi-state payroll, payroll tax rules and regulations in India
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with enterprise SF HCM/Payroll applications would be desired.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, PPT and/or other systems related acumen
- Significant progressively responsible experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment
- Highly Analytical – comfortable with forecasting, and analyzing business performance, and reforecasting based on trends.
- Experience working with SF, SAP or any other similar payroll system.
