JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of the job is to estimate the costs of construction projects, identify potential cost risks to prevent spend over budget working with contractors, builders, and architects to provide the most cost-effective plans, that meet high-quality standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities

Key Performance Indicators
  • Budget and quantity preparation and its verification throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour and time
  • prepare tender and contract documents, including BoQs with the architect and/or the client
  • verification of RA Bills

Planned vs Actual Report to be sent every month / as and when req

 

Checking and Verification of bills
  • Cash flow projections
  • Cost control during construction

 

Planned vs Actual report to be sent every month / as and when required
  • Calculation / validations of quantities of various items/works through drawings
  • keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability.

Accuracy of measurement of quantities from GFC drawing shall be within +/- 3%

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Additional Details

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

consultants, vendors / contractors for design review and finalization of tender packages

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Interact with individual team members to understand their requirement

Apprise Senior Management about the budget’s/cost parameters periodically / as and when required.

 

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

CAPEX works of up to Rs. 150 Cr / year

OTHER DIMENSIONS

  • Should be able to handle 2 ~ 3 projects simultaneously

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.Tech./B.E.
  • Knowledge of AUTOCAD (must)
  • Knowledge of cost tools will be an added advantage
  • Numerical and data analysis skills, attention to detail

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 8 Yrs + experience in building projects, infrastructure works like roads, MEP, drainages etc.
