JOB PURPOSE

Lead the overall Project Management team for Infrastructure Projects (ATC Tower & Associated Works) to ensure that the Project is correctly planned and delivered on time and within budget without compromising on Quality and Safety aspects

To lead the Project Management and be responsible for timely delivery of the Projects within the approved Cost and Quality

Project Execution: 
Deliver the Projects within Time, Cost & Quality

•    Progress of works against the project schedule

•    Reconciliation of project cost V/s approved budget 

•    Turnaround time (PR to PO)

•    Timely procurement finalization of vendors as per the agreed time lines

Contractor or Vendor Management: 
Ensuring Contractor or Designer performs as per the project plans both in terms of Time and Budget. Interfacing between Design and construction and ensuring all the difference are resolved in time and there is no delay to Construction. Ensuring proper Monitoring of Project and strong review mechanism is in place so that all works are executed as planned.

Change Management / Value Engineering / Contract Management: 
Timely review of Design and ensure value engineering is done keeping in view balance between Clients requirement and design intent. Always ensuring project is executed within Budget., Checking and monitoring regularly the physical and financial progress of the project. 
Ensure the contracts are finalized as per the projects approved technical specifications.

•    Review of the quality assurance and inspection test plans for the failures.

•    % savings on the project cost through value engineering of the project during the design phase.
 

Documentation Management:
Ensuring a strong documentation mechanism so that all project data is available in a click of button. Ensure timely review of technical submittals and always initiate timely correspondence.

Ensure all stakeholder concurrence or approval is taken to make sure all issues are resolved within the required timelines.

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

External:

Manage expectations of the external stakeholders of the project
Ensure compliance of statutory obligations required for the projects defined by law
Period review with the vendors/contractors on the status of the projects
Periodic interactions with Customer (AAI) •Technical discussions with Project Designer for all architectural, structural, MEP works (HoK)
 
•Statutory Approvals from authorities like Electrical inspector, Lift inspector, Local fire authority, Pollution control board, etc. •All the contractors, sub-contractors and vendors. •All external auditors
 

 

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Internal: 
Review/Develop project proposals, presentations, feasibility analysis & project planning along with the HOD’s
Monthly progress review presentation to senior management
Review budget & cash flow of the projects along with contracts and finance team and report variances with remedial solutions
Conduct regular sites walks the team to review the progress at sites and understand the issue on the job if any
Interact with the Corporate Relations team on issues relating to statutory approvals
Review compliance of security, safety, environment and general housekeeping provisions for the projects
Identify and discuss with the team and consultants on value engineering opportunities at the conceptual stage as well as detail design stage
Senior Management / Contracts & Legal / HR & Compliances

 

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

    Development of Airport projects, including construction works, which may go upto 300 Crores

OTHER DIMENSIONS

•    Well versed in the following:
-    Project Planning & Scheduling, Project delivery strategy and risk analysis
-    Value engineering analysis & facilitating inputs at all stages of Design & construction.
-    Design management, Design Co-ordination & Integration of structural, MEP & IT services in design.
-    Conversant with National Building Code of India (relevant segments), Local building regulations, Fire Department regulations for High rise buildings, Compliance to Statutory norms.
-    Projects Execution, Quality control, Procurement & Contract management, Change management.
-    Conversant with the green building norms, ISO and OSHAS standards.
-    Customer Relationship.
 

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualification required: 
•    An Engineering graduate or a Bachelor of Science with specialization in Engineering
•    Must possess a Professional License
•    Should be process driven and well versed with the project/construction management processes.
•    Should be able to independently manage the projects and be a people oriented person.
 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

    Minimum of 20 years of overall experience in Project Management/ Construction with at least one successfully completed project of Rs 300 crores
