JOB PURPOSE

To ensure regular operations and maintenance of the Airport specialized machines like Apron Grass cutting, Apron cleaning machines, runway / taxi way sweeping machines, sky lifter, Tandem rollers etc. and common use utility vehicles to ensure higher availability at every time. To ensure the require support in terms of availability of operational machines & specialized equipment to Airside operations team, which in turn ensure availability of runway and taxiways for uninterrupted airside operations / aircraft movement. To explore and identify the alternate source of consumables so as to have quick delivery reliable localization of sourcing and cost control of required consumable. Plan out procurement of spares, consumable for regular / scheduled maintenance activities. Fuel Management (planning , indenting, receiving , inventory keeping , issue, conciliation of fuel issue, consumption analysis, bill processing for all type of fuels such as HSD, MS & CNG. Annual bill ~ 200 lacs Scrap / waste Disposal Management for waste oils, worn out spares and scrapped out vehicles Ensure upkeep and serviceability of all works shop equipment ( washing system, maintenance pits, vehicle lifters, overhead cranes etc. Management of outsource service such as Hydra crane, JCB or to other specialized equipment Coordination with user, requirement identification, deployment and monitoring of 18 Nos of Drivers for different department and management vehicles Coordination and interaction with state transport authorities and regulatory bodies for fitness of commercial vehicles.

To manage the operations and maintenance of Airport specialized machines and utility vehicles and ensuring their availability for uninterrupted airside operations / aircraft movements.

1.  OMDA Compliance Requirements
•    Maintaining Serviceability and Availability of vehicles and equipment
•    Timely completion of runway maintenance activities 
•    Ensuring regulatory compliances.
•    Monitoring R&M activities of DIAL, CISF, Senior Management vehicles
•    Ensuring Preventive and condition based maintenance of vehicles and equipment
•    Preparation and execution of works within budget and stipulated timelines
•    Monitoring and reviewing the AMC service provider’s performance.
•    Upkeep and Life Enhancement of equipment
•    Preparation of detailed estimates and budgeting OPEX and CAPEX of dept.
•    Adherence to vehicle disposal policy

2. Monitoring the QA / QC

  • Review of quality check lists / intervals / method statement / SOP’s etc.
  • Review the processes and address the shortcomings in consultation with counterpart / senior management and ensuring quality of works at site with appropriate tools / quality control documents
  • Arrange and participate in factory inspections and ensuring the availability of compliance test certificates as per tender requirements for the supplied items
  • Competency mapping and improvements of the resources deployed.

3. Employee Engagement

  • Identification and Allocation of specific tasks to individuals and monitoring the performance
  • Identification of training needs and imparting / arranging improvement plans.
  • Implementation of 5 S, Kaizen, CIP & BLIP
  • Recommend for rewards and appreciations
  • Keeping updated with the latest technology and requirements and imparting required knowledge to the team
  • Review of ideas and implementation program as per the merit.

4. Innovations

  • Identify, Review and Implement innovative technology and spares for improving the life of the asset.
  • Create ideas and obtain support from competent resources in development and use of digital platforms for the analysis of trend in the behavior of system and equipment functioning

5. Improvement to Airport Asset

  • Analyze the condition of assets and prepare the scheme for improvement
  • Periodical Review of planner, Implementation of accepted work schedule and coordinate with all stakeholders for smooth execution and completion of works
  • Review of Service Level agreements made with the vendor and taking appropriate actions to address the shortcomings
  • Creating strategy and way forward in phased manner for the schemes to support the management’s missio

6.  Documentation

  • Review and implement Quality report as per statutory requirements
  • Co-ordination for different ISO certifications
  • Review of MIS / BOQ /tenderable documents / approvals, history sheets, RCA, PM planning and monitoring
  • Ensuring timely payment and closure of contracts
  • Leading in internal and external audits and taking action for closure of observations
  • Spares planning and ensuring availability of Material

7. Other initiatives

  • Extending support for the initiatives taken by other internal stakeholders
  • Prepare and execute the works as per the strategy of the organization
  • Airport Exigency / Emergency participation as team member
