JOB PURPOSE

To prepare & review specification and schematic drawing  of Electrical & Mechanical equipment such as  Generator  & auxiliaries, static excitation system ,protection system and electrical workshop for  due diligence report , detailed project report , pre award , post award and in operation activity of Hydro plant and to ensure quality and constructability of project within optimum cost & time.

Key Performance Indicators

Detailed project report :

Design and  preparation of  DPR level technical specification & schematic diagram  of  E & M equipment such as Generator , static excitation system , protection system and electrical workshop

Techno economics clearance of Detailed Project Report on time

Pre Award Engineering activity :

Preparation of tender level technical specification , design calculation  and schematic diagram of Generator , static excitation system , Protection system and electrical workshop , pre bid and post bid evaluation of the same along with assistance in finalization of contractor.

Floating of tender and award of contract on time

Post award Engineering activity :

Review and approval of calculation , schematic diagram ,data sheets and construction diagram of generator , static excitation system , protection system and electrical workshop , support in erection ,testing and commissioning of the same , O & M manuals to handover to O & M team

 

Commissioning of project on time

Operation and Maintenance: Support and assist O&M team for smooth operation of the equipment such as generator, static excitation system, protection system and electrical workshop and to interact with vendors for repair and rebuild of wear and tear components.

 

Plant operation

Due Diligence study: Doing power potential study and  reviewing technical data , site inspection , designing & sizing of project ,techno economic study  and analysis of various  new project for their viability

Power potential study & technical report for acquisition of project

Regulatory Compliance:

Provide technical input and assist Project team to obtain financial closure, statutory clearances from Central electricity authority, CDM and government authorities.

Approvals

Coordination & Scheduling for UMS EPC HEP :

Coordination with other departments for technical requirement of E&M team from them and vice versa, making schedule of drawing & document and follow-up with team member for timely release of the same.

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Interaction with vendors & sub vendors for various clarification and instructions so that Generator , static excitation system , protection system and electrical workshop are delivered at site on time and of correct specification with optimum cost  

Interaction with Central Electricity Authority (CEA) for clearances and approval of E&M cost,E&M chapter & power potential study

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS
