JOB PURPOSE
To Prepare, review, update Airport Emergency Plan as per the statuary requirements to deal with all
foreseeable emergencies at GGIAL . Plan and conduct exercises as per statutory requirements and
train ARFF personnel, emergency response agencies and other stake holders to ensure effective
handling of emergencies to restore normalcy and business continuity.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Prepare, review & update the Aerodrome Emergency Plan and
disseminate the same to all internal, external departments and stake
holders. Plan, organize and conduct Airport Emergency Exercises as per
DGCA CAR, Section 4, Series B, Part 1/ Annex 14 Chapter 9/ASM Part
7/Air Safety circulars to ensure the compliance of Aerodrome
Emergency Plan and Aerodrome certification. Carry out periodic Gap
Analysis with Stakeholder Emergency Plans and align it with Airport
Emergency Plan. Organize AEP training to GGIAL Operational Teams,
Airlines, GHAs, CISF & other stakeholders.
2. Prepare, review & update the Disabled Aircraft Recovery Plan as per
DGCA CAR, Section 4, Series B, Part 1/ Annex 14/ ASM Part 5 to ensure
regulatory compliance. Carry out periodic gap analysis with airlines
plan and align with Airport plan. MoU with local crane/ trailer
operators & material suppliers.
3. Prepare ARFF Manual, Fire Prevention Manual, Rating Manual,
Training Manual and SOPs. Review and update them periodically. To
conduct periodical evaluation of ARFF shift personnel and officers and
to identify appropriate training/ refresher trainings and to organize the
same through internal /external resources. Support preparation of
Aerodrome Manual.
4. Ensure compliance to the annual schedule related to maintenance &
inspection of fire fighting vehicles, appliances and equipment and the
record is maintained.
5. To ensure Regulatory compliance of National Building Code, and to
conduct building fire and evacuation drills for Passenger Terminal
Building, Air Traffic Control, Cargo Building, Operational Building and
Admin Building. Plan and organize training for building occupants,
Floor wardens and Emergency Response Team in building evacuation
and effective fire control.
6. To plan & schedule station level training, monthly hot fire drill and
other periodical trainings including approach area access practice and
tactical exercises required to ensure level of competence in ARFF
teams and to carry out coordination within and outside department for
conducting various training programs successfully.
7. To plan periodical driving & operation training programs for Lead fire
fighters and Fire fighters and conduct evaluation to develop, maintain
high level of competency and compliance as per Director General Civil
Aviation Air safety circular.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Graduate from any recognized university.
Grade ‘I” Fire E / Senior Fire Officer’s course from recognized aviation Institute. Proficiency in Computers.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
About 10-12 years’ experience and 5-6 years in with instructional experience & exposure on emergency planning.
Goan Candidates OR Candidates having working experience in Goa will be an added advantage.
