JOB PURPOSE

Provide operational support to Operational Commander at satellite stations (station 2&station 4) to implement all SOPs & contingency plans for the Rescue and Firefighting related airport emergencies at the IGI Airport as per DGCA CAR.

To ensure adequate resources are available for smooth shift operations by effectively utilizing available manpower, appliances, equipment and extinguishing media. Monitor and implement SOPs & contingency plans for Rescue and Firefighting related emergencies and ensure all personnel are competent enough to perform the duties at highest level to achieve operational excellence in all areas.

To develop and review the operational SOPs and work instructions from time to time and implement the same. Adherence to SOPs and Work Instructions
Ensure implementation of protective measures in all activities of ARFF undertaken based on risk assessment. Number of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment carried out and recommendations implemented
To Conduct periodical inspections and audits of all fire appliances, equipment, Personal Protective gears to ensure its serviceability and availability for the use of overall shift operations at both fire stations. Inspection and audit reports.

Improve station working by initiating improvised methods. Prepare Aircraft type specific firefighting procedures and align it with Airlines/OEM procedures

To respond to all aircraft emergencies and other fire emergencies at airport and maintain the records. Prepare and submit incident reports

To ensure periodical servicing and maintenance of critical appliances and equipment and availability of its spares and also adequate reserve stock of extinguishing media for Crash Fire Tenders as per Airport Service Manual (ICAO). Initiate timely procurement action for spares and replacements and ensure compliance with Regulations

Support to Annual Budget preparation 

To ensure all ARFF operational personnel are holding valid certifications such as AEP, first aid, Airport Driving Permit, Driving license, Crash Fire Tender Operation certification. CFT maintenance schedule as per OEM specifications

Records and documentation

Conduct daily station activities as per the schedule circulated, maintain the physical fitness of the personnel by conducting PT. Plan v/s actual  Pending tasks in daily activity reports  No. of training conducted

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Graduate from any recognized university.
  • Grade ‘I” Fire E / Senior Fire Officer’s course from recognized aviation Institute.
  • Proficiency in Computers. 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience and 5-6 years in managerial level in aviation firefighting.
  • Goan Candidates OR Candidates having working experience in Goa will be an added advantage.
