Associate General Manager - Design

JOB PURPOSE

Design and manage the Architectural Design Services of various CPD developments. The incumbent must align with the corporate development strategy on the real estate development, while also running feasibility studies to support it. The generation of design briefs as well as recommendation of appropriate technologies to align with longer term corporate targets. Shortlisting of design consultants who have the capability and the skillsets to deliver the above are an inherent requirement. The generation and monitoring of budgets and timelines are necessary skills.

AGM-Design shall be responsible for ‘Building projects’ across ‘Aerocity’ thereby responsible for Design Management, Procurement support & Construction support with high level of operational efficiency, without compromising on safety, quality, time & cost.The incumbent must align with the corporate development strategy on the real estate development, while running feasibility studies to support it.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Design Management

• Overviewing Design Management for multiple projects.
• Assist in Concept design finalization.
• Responsible for Finalization of Approval packages, Design Development and Tender documentation. 
• Detailed review of design documentation to ensure adherence to design brief, Concept design, completeness, interfacing with other internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to optimize design and present alternate creative, innovative & cost effective design solutions without affecting design intent.
• Value Engineering

Ensure zero non-compliance to Statutory requirements, satisfying all stake holder requirements.

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Interacting with government bodies like AAI, Fire Services, Municipal Authorities, Pollution Control Boards, DUAC etc for approvals and regulation controls.

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Internal stakeholders like Master Planning, Connectivity, Land, Security, Operations, IT etc for their requirements and inputs related to planning of ALD projects.

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

• Execution of project worth 400-500 crores over 3 years

OTHER DIMENSIONS

• Exposure to coordinating with international consultant’s/design firms/PMCs
• Should have worked in teams comprising 10-15 members having multiple skillsets.

Exposure to multinational work environments and cultures.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

B Arch / M. Arch ( M. Arch is desirable)

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• 12-15 years of experience with a large real estate firm / multidisciplinary design firm/ architectural firm and having experience of large commercial offices, hospitality, Retail projects, master plan projects.

Over 8 years of multi-disciplinary experience in architecture, interior design and project management, across residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, education as well as large masterplans / townships.
