Associate Manager – HVAC (Terminal Building)

JOB PURPOSE

Monitor operation and maintenance of power transmission and distribution system of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in order to ensure system availability.

To lead a team in order to ensure and  achieve maximum availability of systems- HVAC, etc. in a cost effective manner complying with all safety, environmental and legal norms of Passenger Terminal Building,

Key Accountibilities

Operations and Maintenance of HVAC of Passenger Terminal Building GMR Hyderabad International AirportLeading Mechanical team. of Passenger Terminal Building (HVAC) Leads efforts in developing performance metrics and KPI's to facilitate data driven decisions.Leads the 24/7 Airport Maintenance (Mechanical) to ensure optimal customer service support is provided to all maintenance departments, airport divisions, airlines, concessionaires, and the traveling public.

Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Regulatory CompliancesDrive the implementation and strict adherence to HSE and Quality standards, Internal and external Audit compliance. Conformance of different standards set by different external regulatory bodies such as DGCA, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, Indian electricity Rules, Legal metrology Act, National Building Code.  Conduct Site audits for Quality and safety at works.Lead Business Excellence programs in the areas of cost reduction, process excellence, energy and water saving initiatives, different ISO standard certification, audit and implementation of audit points.Providing Support to Specialist - Mechanical for fiscal analysis and budget preparation/recommendations for Capital and Operations/Maintenance (O&M) budgets. Ensures efficient funds management by using fiscally sound practices. Research financial impacts and consequences of proposed recommendations and provides business-case justifications to other stakeholders

Internal

Cross Functional team of GHIAL and GADL to understand the needs for achieving common goals 

Interact with team members on a regular basis to understand and encourage them to achieve departmental goals

Leading the team for process improvement activities

External:

All Airlines, CISF, Ground Handlers and all other Concessionaires,

State and Central Government and regulatory bodies such as Central Power Distribution Company Ltd, Hyderabad

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

  • Should be able to handle and Operating Expenses budget of min. INR 3 Crores
  • Should be capable to manage a Capital Expenditure budget of min INR 10 Crores

OTHER DIMENSIONS

  •         
  • Should be able to handle a total in-house team size of min.10 members
  • Should be able to handle a total team of min  100 members including external service providers
  • Should be capable to handle a vast area of  Operations which includes the Airport and other associated facilities
  • Should be able to independently handle multidiscipline equipment and infrastructure
  •  
  • Well versed in the following:
    • HVAC Design calculations and  Drawings
    • BOQ, Estimation and Tendering
    • Understanding the HVAC drawings
    • Latest technological updates
    • SAP PM and MM Module
    • Asset Management Tool

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • B. Tech / BE   Mechanical 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 6 o 8+ years of experience.
