General Physician

Job Purpose : General Physician to provide high quality medical care by examining patients/Employees and treating diseases. He will also undertake tasks aiming for prevention and promotion of healthy habits.  This position shall ensure the general well being of the employees & their families by establishing an effective Health Index.

Accountability : 

•    Employee Wellness
•    First aid in case of any emergency cases/ Workplace accidents.
•    Conduct & Drive routine health check-ups like Ophthalmology, General health Checks, Diabetes etc. through agencies like Red cross and other institutional associations.
•    To assess and prescribe general medication for all employees & stakeholders who come to the Airport Clinic 
•    To assess and advise employees and their family members and suggest better health solutions.
•    To Assess the employee health based on Annual Health Check reports & come out with company Health Index indicator 
•    To support providing statutory health NOC to ARFF and other departments based on the compliance requirements
•  

Employee wellbeing 
•    
•    Conduct & drive monthly awareness Campaigns 
•    Conduct various campaigns on Special Days ( Diabetes day ,Breast Cancer Day etc ) by coordinating with the expert doctors from various hospitals . he shall ensure that one program/ campaign is conducted per month. 
•    To develop Communication medium for spreading awareness on various health  tips / habits.
•    
•    Conduct examinations to ill patients and evaluate symptoms to determine their condition, Ask intuitive questions to discover causes of illness, diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and the patient’s medical history
•    Examine the employees/(CISF) reimbursement bills and certifying for processing. 
•    Prescribe and interpret lab tests to obtain more information for underlying infections or abnormalities.
•    Prescribe medications or drugs and provide comprehensive instructions for administration.
 

External Support & Advise 
•    Collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants and nurses to form a high performing medical team.
•    Suggest and advise for a higher level medical support / Doctors for any critical support

•    Keep records of patients’ diseases, operations or other significant information (e.g. allergic episodes), Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients.
•    Coordinate with doctors of hospitals and assess the condition of any employee who is admitted . 
•    In case of any emergency calls from the employees , shall immediately attend and guide / suggest 
•    Shall be part of the Food Committee and play an active role in finalizing the healthy menu for the staff cafeterias. 
•    Shall ensure that all the First aid boxes placed at various locations are equipped with necessary stock at all times. 
•    Shall coordinate with the Facility Management dept. and ensure that sufficient stock of all the required medicines required for the Airport Clinic is maintained. 
•    Shall visit the Clinics at GMR Township , Terminal twice weekly . 
•    Remain up-to-speed with developments and best practices in medicine by attending conferences and seminars
•    Shall be part of the Committee to assess the Employee wellbeing 
•    In case of any epidemic/ pandemic shall be in the forefront in taking initiatives , advising the senior management, and spearheading the organizations actions.

Qualification :

MBBS, PG General Medicine

MBBS/ PG general medicine  with 15+ yrs experience, Preferably Ex Army, Retired Doctors from Govt Sector or from any Private hospital
