JOB PURPOSE
Lead all the activities related to implementation of GMR Business Excellence Model (GBEM) across the organization through various best practices & Employee Engagement activities. To co-ordinate Closure of OFIs, Lead BE Application writing, benchmarking activities through collaborative approach. Lead BE initiative in move organization to band change. Lead operational excellence activities such as CIPs, 5S, Kaizens, Idea factory and other Cross functional teams, and best practices like routine management, TPM in airport and Cargo business. Lead surveys for customers/ stakeholders / service partners. Lead process improvement studies. Support all the QSD activities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
To lead BE Application (Processes and Results) preparation through collaborative approach for all categories. Conducting workshops, group discussions regarding collection of salient points, adherence to GBEM criteria, development of requisite literature, graphics, and pictorial representations.
Conduct Internal and external assessments in coordination with internal and external stakeholder and Ensure the organization progressed in maturity band
Compilation of BE Results category through taskforce formation & also being a member of taskforce. Benchmarking with DIAL and other airports/industries
Closure of OFIs, through conducting Action planning workshop and later conducting periodic reviews with each depts.
Spreading BE culture – through campaigning, road shows & successful completion of Kaizens, 5S, Idea factory. R&R activities for above.
Engaging Employees through above activities, formation of BE Brigade or any other forums through innovative way for spreading and encouraging inculcation of best practices
Extending above activities to Stakeholders and involve them in BE journey through specially designed events, contests and R&R activities
Facilitating and enabling the organization to participate in external forums – award contests and also support to other depts. For their participation
Drive operational excellence initiatives across the organization such as CIP’s, Kaizens, 5S and Process improvement initiatives .Train, coach and review on improvement methodology and monitor the progress.
Develop internal capability through BE assessor certification programs and engage them in BE journey such as assessment, application preparation and other improvement initiatives

Airlines, External Assessors, Industry Experts and other stakeholders
External bodies like CII, TQMS etc.

Interaction with SCM, HoD’s and all employees

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
•MBA / Post Graduation from reputed universities.
•Qualified Assessor for Business Excellence
•Basic L&D Skills
•Basic MS- Office applications
•Trained Juran (or any problem solving methodology) practitioner
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
•15 Years of experience in Aviation or similar service Industry
•At least 10 years in capacity of leading the transformation to bring culture change in the organization.
•Should be from Industry practicing culture of excellence Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award , EFQM, Deming or similar
•Exposure in dealing with multiple stakeholders and Govt. agencies is desired.
