JOB PURPOSE

Ensure design and implementation of Mechanical system of Airport projects with high level of safety and quality within time and cost.

Accountabilities

Key Performance Indicators

Design Management: - Coordinate and complete designs for projects from conceptual stage to detailed design by coordinating with Operation and Maintenance team, consultants and other stake holders of the Projects.

Zero non- compliances to statutory requirements, satisfying all stake holder requirements.

Procurement management: - Coordinate and assist procurement team with Technical and commercial inputs in tendering, vendor evaluation and vendor finalization. .

In time procurement, finalization of capable contractor / vendor project Quality compliances.

 

Construction Management: - Under guidance of the Department Head, coordinate and ensure implementation of Mechanical works with compliance to the design requirements.

Completion time (with time), quality compliance, Safety, Health and Environment compliance.

 

Handing over and Contract closure: - Assist in Handing over of project to operation team with required documentation, Hand hold the operation team in initial period to stabilize the operation. Post operation stabilization: assist Procurement and Contract team to close the all project related contract with all required backup data.

 

Acceptance by operation team, stabilization of system for maximum output as per the service levels, contract closure.

 

Support New Initiatives by the Company: - Supporting Dept. Head with technical inputs and Costing to arrive at Project Budget. Complete documentation related to Mechanical works for the new initiatives.

 

 

Quality and wining the Projects.

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

• Interact with stake holders of the projects to understand their requirements and educate them on particular systems.
• Interact with Government statutory agencies like Local Fire Authority, Central Electrical Authority, Municipal cooperation, Factory Inspectorates for certifications.
• Interact with external consultant, Vendors / Contractors for smooth execution of the project.

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Interact with other departments for efficient coordination of work.
Interact with individual team members to understand their strength and weakness and support them.
Interact with Senior Management to apprise them about the progress of works.

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

•Part of the team which Handled projects of value of above Rs. 50 Crores out of which exclusive Mechanical Systems of worth above Rs. 10 Crores.

OTHER DIMENSIONS

•Handled Central Chilling systems from above 200 TR. Executed several hundreds of kilometers of steel piping, handled critical equipments.
•Handled the team of 5 to 10 Engineers for Major Project execution.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

•Job profile need BE (Mechanical / Electrical).
•Other specialized certification Programs.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

•Job profile requires Minimum of 6 to 8 Years of relevant and 12 years of total experience in Design and Project Management.
