JOB PURPOSE

To support the HoD in developing airline portfolio and increase Pax & ATM volumes by preparing ASD (air services development) plan, analysis, prepare business cases, collect, evaluate and present necessary market information and interact with prospective and existing airlines and other stakeholders at various levels.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key Accountabilities :


Preparing business cases for aircraft up-gauge, new frequency, airlines to start new routes, attract new airlines
Airline interaction for business case development, presentations and follow-ups
Evaluating and presenting market and competitive information (quantitative + qualitative) necessary for ASD. Maintain an Environment scan of the industry and elicit market intelligence and share an information capsule with management and team periodically.   
Identification of prospects (routes, airlines), and management of sales funnel to ensure the annual targets are met
Ownership of special assignments/projects such as developing hybrid airline interline agreements, hub and spoke alignment etc.
Performance tracking with respect to ASD process and recommend corrective actions
Preparing draft AOP, policy papers, notes for senior management, review presentations
To develop and nurture business relationship with key personnel among airlines, airport, tourism authorities and other relevant stakeholders 
Coordination with applicable external (airlines, airports, UBM, IATA, CAPA etc) and internal stakeholders (slot, SPC, SPG, etc)
Preparation of White Papers for Ministry of Civil Aviation, State Govt. etc. on Bilateral ASAs and other related matter
To interact Outbound Tour Operators, DMCs and Foreign Tourist Boards to enhance Out Bound Tourism
Event Management – New Airline Launch, New Flight Launch, Airline Anniversary etc.

  • Airline Customers – Network and schedule planning managers, sales managers, Airline GSAs Airports, Travel Tourism bodies & Trade representatives & Routes, IATA etc.
     

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

  • CCO- Aero, Head – Airline Marketing & Route Development, GHIAL HODs and Route development teams of other GMR Airports
  • All departments especially Slot, Finance, SPG, SPC, Legal, Corp Comm,  etc

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Commerce Science Graduate/Engineer with MBA International Business/Mktg (preferred)

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

8-12 years with experience with Aviation, tourism business development, charter development. Experience with MNC tour operators (SOTC, Cox & Kings, Thomas Cook etc.) and relationships with key industry personnel preferred.
