JOB PURPOSE

To lead a team of technical professionals in order to achieve maximum availability of systems- HVAC, etc. in a cost effective manner complying with all safety, environmental and legal norms of Passenger Terminal Building,

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities

Key Performance Indicators
  • Leading Mechanical team. of Passenger Terminal Building (HVAC)
  • Leads efforts in developing performance metrics and KPI's 
  • Leads the 24/7 Airport Maintenance (Mechanical) to ensure optimal customer service support is provided to all maintenance departments, airport divisions, airlines pax Etc.
  • Provides leadership and ensures airport compliance in regard to testing and maintenance of Safety Systems, i.e. HVAC system and other related equipment.
  • Providing Support to Specialist - Mechanical for fiscal analysis and budget preparation/recommendations for Capital and Operations/Maintenance (O&M) budgets. 
  • Driving Energy and water conservation projects, coordinating with internal service providers and external stake holders

Percentage savings on Expense – Budget vs. actual

Water consumption – reduction in cost per passenger

Conformance of different standards set by different external regulatory bodies such as DGCA, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, Indian electricity Rules, Legal metrology Act, National Building Code. 

Zero non-compliance, unsafe incidents

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Gouvernement bodies, regulatory bodies, Airlines , vendors Etc.

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

TOPS, CFL , AOCC ,,GHIAL,, GADL project and other operations and project teams, AMCs Etc.

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

  • Should be able to handle and Operating Expenses budget of min. INR 5 Crores
  • Should be capable to manage a Capital Expenditure budget of min INR 20 Crores

OTHER DIMENSIONS

  • Should be able to handle a total in-house team size of min.10 members and AMC 100+
  • Should be capable to handle a vast area of  Operations which includes the Airport and other associated facilities
  • Should be able to independently handle multidiscipline equipment and infrastructure.
  • Should be process driven and well versed with the maintenance management processes.
  • Sound display strong leadership skills and qualities with emphasis on team building, strong negotiation and good communication skills.
  • Well versed in the following:
    • HVAC Design calculations and  Drawings
    • BOQ, Estimation and Tendering
    • Understanding the HVAC drawings
    • Latest technological updates
    • SAP PM and MM Module

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 9-12+ years of total experience and at least 3 years’ relevant experience in Engineering Maintenance Activities,  Airport. operations experience will be added advantage.
