JOB PURPOSE

To drive and support the strategic planning/ Strategic Initiatives at GMR Group (GHIAL, GVIAL, Kothavalasa) through research, analysis and impact assessment and determine and execute key business initiatives in order to achieve time bound strategic and operational goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Support ED-CR in conducting effective CR / business reviews for the following business. Prepare Minutes, Follow up on action items −    Finalization of inputs for the plan.
−    In time preparation of Strategic plan 
 
  • External Environment Scan: Scan for Relevant Government orders in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Relevant News articles and update ED-CR.
ATR Tracker
 
Strategy Deployment through PDMs for top management with focus on KPI deployment and action points −    PDMs for all the defined levels and regular PDPR review
  • Lead Strategic Planning process & facilitate the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) preparation for Kothavalasa Business.
Submitting of the AOP plan by November every year.
 
  • Preparation of Letters to Government of Telangana and Government of Andhra Pradesh on Various Business issues.
 Pre-read before performance review of respective functions.
  • Preparation of Notes on various business issues as required by ED- CR for discussion with Government Officials.
ATR completion
  • Special assignments (special time bound tasks from Senior management, Sector team and corporate team related to Policy matters, engagements with internal and external stakeholders etc).
As per the timelines mentioned.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

    • MBA from top tier B schools

     

    • Engineering Degree will be preferred.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

    5+ years’ experience post MBA, preferably a mix between a Strategy Planning Profile and an Industry Profile
    Aviation industry experience to be given preference
    Past experience to include:
o    Development of Strategy Plans – including the ability to identify potential risks, their impact and subsequent fall out of achievement of strategies
o    Deployment of Strategy Plans in a Cross Functional manner – including the understanding and appreciation of various tools and frameworks used for deployment
o    Financial Modelling 
o    Process Optimization – To ensure process-centricity is brought into the way of working
o    Ability to provide analytical support, based on trends and business requirements
