JOB PURPOSE

Role would be to maintain plumbing/piping/drip/sprinklers in Landscape Irrigation Systems, Lift Irrigation Systems, Water bodies and Fountains at RGIA premises (PTB and landside) through SLA based AMC Contracts. Responsibility would also include maintenance of fogging system at Nursery & compost plant. This role is also responsible for installation of new irrigation systems through contractors as per design drawing as and when required.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

KEY ROLES

Irrigation System Maintenance management: 
O&M of Lift irrigation systems (Plumbing part) at RGIA landside consisting of open wells and bore wells 
O&M of drip and sprinkler irrigation systems (Plumbing part) at RGIA 
O&M of plumbing in water bodies & fountains 
Deploying contractor manpower for daily O&M activities
Preparation of preventive maintenance schedule and get it completed by AMC
Preparation of report for issue and use of irrigation spares on site
Co-ordination with Technical Services staff and contractors regarding water supply issues in day to day work
Responsible for Maintenance of fogging system at Nursery and compost plant

Irrigation development management:
Installation of new irrigation systems through contractors as per design drawing as and when required.

Irrigation improvement management:
Modification and extension in existing irrigation network as and when required to ensure continuous water supply

Health, Safety and Environment: 
Implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental measures as per the standard operating procedures.

Training the support staff:
Drive the learning development initiative by training the contractors’ irrigation technicians with emphasis on SOP’S, safety and precautions to be taken while working at high risk zones.
 

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Interaction with vendors of irrigation, fountains and compost plant regarding day to day work
Interaction with vendors of landscape maintenance regarding day to day work
 

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Interaction with stores team for material inspection and issue
Interaction with technical services team regarding electrical issues in day to day work
Interaction with TOPS/CFL/FMS dept. in relation with irrigation/electrical related issue
 

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

AOP Opex of INR 50 Lakhs, Project cost of INR 50 Lakhs

OTHER DIMENSIONS

    Leading the team of 30 people (Technicians/Helpers) employed with service providers (Irrigation and Fountains)

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

B. Tech. – Agricultural Engineering with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
