Associate Manager - Metering

JOB PURPOSE
GMR Smart Electricity, a division of GMR Group responsible for managing smart electricity projects, is looking for an experienced Factory Acceptance Test Engineer. The engineer will play a critical role in the testing and inspection of smart meters, cables, radio frequency devices, SMC boxes, meter seals, and current transformers and tracking the delivery at site.

| 1. Conduct end-to-end inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for smart meters, cables, RF devices, SMC boxes, meter seals, and current transformers. 2. Develop and execute test plans and procedures to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. 3. Coordinate with Discom (Distribution Company) officers to ensure seamless inspection processes and address any issues that arise during testing. 4. Document test results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. 5.Oversee the installation and commissioning processes, ensuring that all devices meet the required standards before deployment. 6. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve any discrepancies found during testing. 7. Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards throughout the testing and inspection processes. 8. Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed. 9. Ensuring the material delivery at site and co-ordinating with vendors and DISCOMs. 10. Accountable for FAT Offer, Conducting FAT at site, DI to vendors after MICC from DISCOM, delivery of material at site |

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
8-10 years of experience in testing and inspection of smart meters, cables, RF devices, SMC boxes, meter seals, and current transformers.
In-depth knowledge of Factory Acceptance Testing procedures and quality standards.
Strong understanding of smart meter technology and associated components.
Experience in coordinating with Discom officers and managing inspection schedules.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel to various testing and installation sites as required.
