Manager - Accounting & Compliance

JOB PURPOSE

Monitor and supervise the finance and accounts of GNIAL external financial reporting tax compliance, stake holder management, and risk mitigation, maintaining accounting records as per Indian Accounting Standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities  Key Performance INDICWTOR

Financial Closing of Books of Accounts and Audit thereof

  • Compliance of Ind AS and GAAP
  • Timely closure of Accounts as per schedule
Resolution of issues with Statutory Auditors and ensure no adverse remarks in Audit Report etc.
Accounts Receivable Management
  1. Ensuring timely billing of revenue with accuracy
  2. Ensuring no revenue leakage with proper monitoring and controls
Dealing with Revenue Auditors and reply to their reports Reconciliation of debtors and realization of dues
Accounts Payable Management
  1. Ensuring payment to vendors, suppliers, service providers etc as per payment terms
  2. Ensure compliance of TDS, Service Tax and Vat provisions
Monitoring of Expenses as per AOP and variance analysis

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Additional Details

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Regular interaction with Bankers in regard to loans repayment, interest issues etc.

Regular interaction with Tax Departments for various tax related issues and replying to their queries

Commercial, Airline Marketing, Cargo, Technical, Group Companies.

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Regular Interaction with Airline Marketing & Non Aero Departments in regard to revenue billing, revenue assurance and debtors reconciliation
Regular interaction with various departments for clearing of advances, submission of bills in regard to provisions, masters updation and other accounts related issues

 

Regular Interaction with Internal Audit Department in regard to issues raised and resolution thereof

 

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

Monitor receivables approx. in CR per month

OTHER DIMENSIONS

  • Must have handled large team.
  • Dealing with multiple stakeholders and external agencies.
  • Dealing with Regulator.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant
  • Good understanding of Indian Accounting Standards & Taxation. 
  • Effective communication and analytical Ability

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • Around 10 years of post-qualification experience
  • Has worked in ERP SAP based accounting system
  • Experience of fairly handling large team and dealing with govt. agencies 
  • Experience of working with Airport /Infrastructure /Service Industry
