JOB PURPOSE

To lead a team of technical professionals in order to achieve maximum availability of systems- HVAC, Firefighting, Plumbing and High rise M/Cs,  in a cost effective manner complying with all safety, environmental and legal norms of Passenger Terminal Building & Airside –Landside Facilities

Accountabilities Key Performance Indicators

Operations and Maintenance of  Mechanical Systems( HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Fighting system, Chillers, FCUs, AHU etc.) of Passenger Terminal Building & ALS Of Nagpur Intl Airport

  • Leading Mechanical team. of  Nagpur Airport
  • Leads efforts in developing performance metrics and KPI's to facilitate data driven decisions.
  • Leads the 24/7 Airport Maintenance (Mechanical) to ensure optimal customer service support is provided to all maintenance departments, airport divisions, airlines, concessionaires, and the traveling public.
  • Provides leadership and ensures airport compliance in regard to testing and maintenance of Safety Systems, i.e. fire alarms, sprinklers, emergency communication systems.
  • Prepares and presents fiscal analysis and budget preparation/recommendations for Capital and O&M budgets. 
  • Percentage availability of systems, equipment etc.
  • Percentage savings on Expense – Budget vs. actual

Develop BOQ budget and quality plans for CAPEX & OPEX budget

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

All Stakeholders like Airlines, CISF, Customs, IB, Ground Handlers, Concessionaires etc.

State and Central Government and regulatory bodies such as Pollution Control Board, Local Fire Authority, Legal Meteorology.

All Annual / Comprehensive Maintenance Contractor.

Original Equipment Manufacturers and suppliers

Cross Functional team of GHIAL and GADL to understand the needs for achieving common goals

Leading the team for process improvement activities

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

  • Shall handle and Operating Expenses budget of min. INR 1 Crores
  • Shall manage a Capital Expenditure budget of min INR 5 Crores

OTHER DIMENSIONS

Man power (AMC) -120 staff

 

  • Shall handle a total in-house team size of app.5 members
  • Shall  handle a total team of min  20 members including external service providers
  • Shall handle a vast area of  Operations which includes the Airport and other associated facilities
  • Shall handle multidiscipline equipment and infrastructure.
  • Should be process driven and well versed with the maintenance management processes.
  • Sound display strong leadership skills and qualities with emphasis on team building, strong negotiation and good communication skills.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

B. Tech - Electrical/Mechanical with 9 to 12 years ’ experience

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 9-12 years of total experience and desirable to have minimum 3 years’ experience in Engineering Maintenance Activities of Airport.
