JOB PURPOSE

To keep vigil over the Aircraft during landing, take off &Taxing for aircraft related incidents/accidents. Ensure healthiness of communication systems and keep in touch with AOCC & ATC for smooth handling of airport emergencies. Assist Operation Commander/Duty officer in handling airport emergencies as CFT In-charge.

To ensure the availability of ARFF resources at all times to meet required fire protection level as per the Airport category in compliance with Director General of Civil Aviation/International Civil Aviation Organization Guidelines. To take over the command & control of incident site and direct rescue & firefighting operations at the Airport to save life & property and restore normalcy for business continuity.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities Key Performance Indicators
To be the in Charge of Satellite Fire Station and assist ARFF Watch Commander in the overall management and command of the watch. ARFF Daily reports and log books.
To  perform the role  of  Rescue Commander during the aircraft accidents/incidents i.e.to be the team leader of the rescue team and   to work unsupervised and make decisions when under pressure and during emergency situations involving aircraft emergencies. Incident Reports

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade-I, Diploma in Aviation Fire or Graduate preferably with science from any recognized University.
  • JFO Course or equivalent from any Aviation academy. Valid Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) Driving License
  • Good knowledge in all ICAO Doc, DGCA CAR & NBC
  • Good knowledge in Computer.
  • Good communication/ presentation skills.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 9 years’ experience out of which 3 years as crew commander in aviation firefighting at Airport.
  • Should possess good communication skills to carry out Radio Telephony communication.
