JOB PURPOSE

Lead the Payment Processing team, and ensure processing of payments timely and accurately complying with applicable policies and procedures

Monitoring/reviewing/guiding and ensuring that back office team has accounted all investment transactions of the Group.   Ensuring that there is no shortfall of income.  Reporting deviations if any in the approved treasury policy.  Advising group companies in case of deviations in policy for Fixed Income investments.   Tracking actual yield vis-à-vis bench mark yield and apprising treasury front office to enable them to plan the investments.

ACCOUNTING,  COMPLIANCE  & SETTLEMENT 
Everyday review the back office team work and ensure that team has recorded all the investment transactions.  
Driving and guiding team to ensure that Fixed income trade deals are settled on value date as per time lines to ensure that business will utilize the funds on the same day without being idle.
Verifying income line items and analyse if there is any shortfall of income. If so, ensure recovery of the same.

Reviewing the actual yield vis-à-vis benchmark yield on monthly basis and provide data to Treasury Front office dealers to enable them to surpass the benchmark yield.
Ensuring that Back office team submits Portfolio outstanding reports to business for completing the audit by statutory auditors within the timelines

Review counterparty limits with actual exposure and report any deviations to Top Management
Preparation of Notes (wherever counterparty limits have exceeded Treasury Policy limits) for approval to top management and regularize the limits exceeded.

NEW INVESTMENT PRODUCTS AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS 
Study the feasibility of new investment opportunities with respect to statutory compliance with risk appetite and risk philosophy of Safety, Liquidity and Returns and place it before higher authorities for approval.

Banks-Negotiation of Fixed deposit rates, requirement of FD account statement for updating interest/TDS particulars in SAP
MF AMC’s – Requirement of MF custodial statements to keep track of MF outstandings on a Day to  Day basis


Brokers/Market Participants-Enquiry regards yields traded in the market for various products
Counterparties- Counter party confirmations and ensuring smooth process of the Deal till credit of security to our account.
Auditors External-One point contact for Treasury entries in SAP
 

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

TFO/Business teams-Reviewing of Outstanding investments productwise and companywise to match with the Company financials on a Quarterly basis
MAG- One point contact for all inspection requirements of Treasury transaction
SAP/BI team-Providing inputs for configuration of new Investment products and Investment reports for Finance requirement.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance with specisalisation in Treasury

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of  8 -10  years in  Accounting of Treasury Transactions 
  • Knowledge of SAP Treasury module is preferable
  • Knowledge of Treasury products is a must.
  • Good communication skills
  • Good knowledge of  MS Word/Powerpoint and Excel
