JOB PURPOSE
The Associate Manager – Planning (Smart Metering) is responsible for driving end-to-end planning including man, material, resources, AOP and others. The role ensures forecasting, timely procurement, and effective coordination with manufacturers, stores, logistics, and project teams.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Material Planning & Forecasting:
Own end‑to‑end material planning aligned with AOP targets to ensure uninterrupted smart meter deployment across assigned regions. Develop production schedules, dispatch plans, and delivery timelines to support project milestones. - Deployment & Resource Forecasting:
Forecast installation pace and resource requirements based on deployment progress, material flow, and inventory outlook, enabling proactive planning and risk mitigation. - Business Tracking & MIS Governance:
Lead MIS preparation, reporting, and tracking of all critical business indicators. Ensure timely, accurate dashboards to support leadership decisions. - Revenue & Collection Monitoring:
Maintain and update revenue and collection trackers, highlighting variances and risks while driving alignment with internal stakeholders for timely resolution. - Invoice Lifecycle Management:
Monitor vendor invoices from receipt to payment. Track ageing, ensure documentation completeness, and drive closure of discrepancies (price/quantity mismatches, PO issues, missing documents) with plants, stores, and finance teams. - Inventory & Material Movement Control:
Maintain comprehensive trackers on material availability, inward/outward movement, dispatch status, and inventory health. Communicate risks and deviations promptly to project, SCM, and finance teams. - Demand–Supply Alignment:
Continuously review open POs, incoming shipments, and pending dispatches to ensure precise alignment between demand and supply. Adjust material plans based on deployment dynamics and AOP revisions. - Stakeholder Coordination & Issue Resolution:
Facilitate cross‑functional coordination to address material shortages, schedule conflicts, and invoice/payment bottlenecks, ensuring minimal operational disruption. - Business Documentation & Analysis:
Prepare business reports, analytical summaries, and insights to support strategic decision‑making. Lead the creation of high‑quality presentations for internal and management reviews.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- 10–12 years in project planning/material planning; smart metering/ AMI/ utilities/ Electrical EPC preferred.
