JOB PURPOSE

Plan, monitor and ensure efficient and effective business management of the Urban Infra business, by making optimum utilization of available resources to achieve targeted levels of  growth, operational excellence, stakeholder management, quality and performance; drive the team to contribute significantly to continual improvements for maximizing business value for the GMR Group and all the stakeholders

Business Strategy Formulation and Implementation
Develop the long and short term business plans and objectives in conjunction with the Business Chairman aligned to the broad guidelines and objectives defined by the GHB. The business model, specifically in the Urban Infra SIR sector, is still evolving. 
 
Achievement of the targets defined in AOP - P&L Targets / Growth milestones
 
Project Management and Execution
Provide leadership and direction to ensure all on-going projects are completed 
 
Achieve quality in development within cost & time targets.
 
Develop a capable and motivated workforce, which would deliver the  agenda for the company
Ensure proper staffing in areas of responsibility - both technical and staff areas

Advocacy
Create and deliver strategies & initiatives to influence and advocate GMR’s interests in the public arena. In discussions with GCM / BCM, identify which stakeholder groups to focus, how to approach and through targeted initiatives create subtle pressure benefiting the various agenda that may face bottlenecks. 
 
Targeted advocacy initiatives
Actively represent GMR in various Advocacy Forums with emphasis on Infrastructure.
 
Ensure stakeholder management across different segments – Government, Quasi government, local authorities, Politicians, public at large, so as to ensure smooth operations

CC Strategy, Policies & Guidelines 
In discussions with President-CA and the GHB, create policies & guidelines on GMR’s approach to Corporate Communications.

Articulate GMR approach to corporate communications
Delivering Corporate Communication
On critical / sensitive issues, create scenario analysis of implications on market responses, and thoroughly prepare the GMR representatives thru GH – CC, to deal with various questions or issues that may be posed.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

MBA & / or professional training in Project Engineering & Management

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 30 years of experience in Managing Cross Functional Teams.
