JOB PURPOSE

This role for GMR Renewables commands the  sourcing, strategy, costing, and contract lifecycle for solar and e-BoP components. Responsibilities encompass developing granular, bottom-up cost models for all key components (modules, inverters, mounting structures, etc.), rigorously benchmarking prices against domestic and international market standards, expertly leading commercial negotiations with vendors to secure optimal terms, and formulating and executing comprehensive supply chain strategies to minimize total cost of ownership. Furthermore, the role demands in-depth analysis of evolving market dynamics, fluctuating commodity prices, and government policies (ALMM, BCD, GST, PLI schemes, etc.) impacting solar procurement decisions to ensure a competitive edge.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.Tech / B.E. (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent)
  • MBA (Supply Chain, Operations, or Finance) preferred

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 10-12 years in renewable energy supply chain, procurement, cost modelling, or commercial negotiations
