JOB PURPOSE

The Manager – Aviation Services ensures seamless baggage delivery, audits for bridge-mounted equipment (BME), ITPs, compressed gas services, fueling processes, and hydrant pit checks, regulatory compliance, and efficient stakeholder coordination. This role drives operational excellence, safety audits and emergency response while optimizing SLAs and mitigating risks. By leading the aviation services team, the incumbent enhances service quality, safety, and overall airport efficiency.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Strategic Oversight & Monitoring

  • Ensure baggage delivery processes align with airport standards and SOPs across all terminals.
  • Oversee baggage delivery adherence: DOM - FB 10 Min & LB 30 Min / INT – FB 15 Min & LB 40 Min.
  • Guide and supervise the aviation services team in executing daily operations efficiently.
  • Drive regular coordination with Ground Handling Agencies (GHA), Airlines, and other stakeholders.

Compliance, Audits & Safety Standards

  • Conduct regular audits for bridge-mounted equipment (BME), ITPs, compressed gas services, fueling processes, and hydrant pit checks.
  • Oversee ESB mock drills and hydrant pit check drills with stakeholders.
  • Ensure 98% serviceability and availability of GPU & PCA in coordination with DASPL and AOCC.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Oversee closure of audit observations and deficiency reports within stipulated timelines.
  • Drive compliance and performance monitoring of Ground Handling Agencies (GHA) and Airline operations.
  • Maintain and enforce safety and compliance measures to mitigate risks and incidents.

Emergency Response & Crisis Management

  • Lead and activate RVP (Rapid Verification Procedures) during critical emergencies.
  • Facilitate emergency response vehicles and personnel entry as per SOPs in coordination with DAEP.
  • Supervise emergency planning and ensure robust preparedness for crisis situations.

Data Management & Performance Reporting

  • Ensure accuracy in data collection and reporting across GHA, Catering, Fueling, BME, and TBS operations.
  • Prepare and present monthly KPI reports for Baggage Delivery & Operations data for CEO office review and suggest insights for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor operational SLAs related to GHA, Catering, Fueling, BME, and TBS operations and identify gaps for process optimization.
  • Oversee shift management and staff rosters to ensure optimal operational coverage.
  • Accuracy of reports

AOP & Budget Management

  • Provide inputs for the annual operating budget for the Aviation Services vertical, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
  • Monitor performance against AOP, conduct variance analysis, and provide detailed reasoning for deviations.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate
  • Master’s degree preferably MBA in Aviation Management

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 8-10 Years’ experience with Airport /Airlines / GHAs
