JOB PURPOSE

  • The position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the financial and accounting operations for the Warehousing business.

ORGANISATION CHART

The position reports to Head / EVP - Warehousing & Property

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare financial statements, including the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement and Balance Sheet, in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
  • Manage the tax function, including calculating, filing, and paying taxes (direct and indirect).
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely collection of payments and payment of invoices.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a robust financial Management Information System (MIS) to provide insights into the financial health of the Warehousing business.
  • Liaise with external auditors during the audit process, ensuring all documentation and information are readily available.
  • Manage adherence to all statutory compliances and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage cash flow effectively, forecasting needs and ensuring sufficient liquidity.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain strong internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

 

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Vendors – regularly interact with all vendors w.r.t. bills and accounting as per the contracts / agreements with them.

Customers - regularly interact with all customers with respect to invoicing and accounting as per the contracts / agreements with them.

Banks / FIs – Interacting with them for payments, statements and other requirements

 

Auditors – Interecting for the Audits and for providing information.

Tax officials – Interacting with respect to various returns and assessments

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

  • Interacting with Project Team, Legal Team, HR teams, etc.,
  • Internal Auditors / MAG Team

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

Chartered Accountant (CA)

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (Ind AS) and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software (Tally, SAP etc.) and financial modeling tools (Excel).
  • Proven experience with tax compliance and filing.
  • Understanding of construction accounting principles and practices (desirable).
  • Knowledge of commercial land real estate and warehouse space rental services (desirable).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
