Manager - Innovation

JOB PURPOSE
This Position reports directly to Head, Innovation- Delhi and is tasked with managing strategic, analytical, financial and operational facets of Innovex Delhi. Primary responsibilities involve doing the environment scan for emerging technologies that can adopted in the Airport business, engaging with internal and external collaborators for evaluating for exploring innovative ideas, evaluating the scope and benefits of ideas/ new technologies and support in implementing innovative solutions in the current business. Also will support the “Head Innovation “ in preparing the strategic roadmap, annual operating plans and organizing various innovation events to scout for new ideas.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Accountability
Preparation of Strategy Roadmap and AOP:
(a) Monitor and analyze industry trends and market changes.
(b) Preparation of Environmental Scan document (Porter’s 5 forces, PESTL, SWOT etc.).
(c) Develop SOs, Sis and Action Plans with the help of Head, Innovation.
(d) Preparation of Strategy road map and functional strategy based on inputs from head innovation
(e) Preparation of Annual Operation Plan and Estimate the budget requirement based on inputs from head innovation.
KPI - No. of Documents Prepared (Environment Scan, Functional Strategy, AOP)
Monitor, Review Sis and Action Plans:
(a) Monitor the progress of action plans and analyze variance.
(b) Preparation of make-up plans/ alternate plans based on the degree of variance.
(c) Plan and facilitate reviews as per requirement.
KPI - No. of Reviews Conducted.

Engagement with Internal and External Collaborators:
(a) Set up meetings with Startups and Tech innovators to understand their value proposition and product/ service portfolio.
(b) Organize meeting with internal Stakeholders and technology experts to explore product/ service innovation.
(c) Organize knowledge transfer session for key Stakeholders in Airport ecosystem on emerging technologies.

Capture and Evaluation of Ideas
(d) Expected to build the culture of learning & re-energizing with the broader GMR employee base.
(e) Expected to run internal intrapreneurship training & programs that helps understand the nuances of innovation.
(f) Work with relevant team to take employee internal ideas and create structured mechanism to document it, database it & explore all the levers to explore taking it forward.

Preparation of POC documents.
(a) Evaluate viability of ideas using POC document.
(b) Capture and integrate feedback from all relevant stakeholders.
(c) Test financial viability using modelling and simulation.
(d) Help the CFT in product/ service development

Organizing Innovation Event (Hackathons/Innovation Camps)
(a) Plan and Organize Innovation Events.
(b) Engage with External Stakeholders, Innovators and Ensure participation
(c) Create buzz around emerging tech and innovations.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA/PGDM (Business Management/Operations/Marketing/Strategy) from Premier Institutes
- Engineering Degree.
- Must have good understanding and exposure to emerging technologies with involvement in practical applications in real-life projects and solutions.
- Strong Analytical Background.
