JOB PURPOSE

  • Design review and project management for successful implementation of various projects (HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting etc.) as per quality standards, within time and cost.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountabilities

Key Performance Indicators
  • Conceptualize projects based on briefings provided by the user (operations/retail/commercial).
  • Develop preliminary design and project budget
  • Review designs , specifications and project cost estimates and provide recommendations to HOD for decision making
  • On time completion of design development
  • Approval for implementation of the project
  • Support procurement for vendor identification (pre-qualification and technical evaluation)
  • Plan various stages of project, develop progress reporting mechanism
  • Review contractors, QA & QC plan and design submissions as per the terms of contract
  • Construction supervision of all projects (HVAC, PHE, Firefighting.) ensuring all quality parameters are met by the vendor. Conduct all tests and inspections as per the industrial standards.
  • Monitor the progress, track the deliverables, report early signs of probable delays to the HOD and recommend remediable actions
  • Assist HOD and P&C in change management (omissions and additions)
  • Measurement and certification of vendor’s, payment requests, running account bills.
  • Project quality test
  • On-time completion of the project within +/- 5% of the budget
  • Assist in Handing over of project to Client with required documentation, providing support to operation team in initial period to stabilize the operation.
  • Contract Closure: Assist Procurement and Contract team in closing out the contracts
  • Acceptance by Client/operation team, stabilization of system for maximum output as per the service levels, contract closure.
  • Understand latest practices, products/systems in the industry and recommend for implementation within the organization
  • Train the foreman to maintain the property post construction   
  • Adopt new technology.

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

•    Coordinate with Internal stakeholders i.e. Terminal Operations, Security, Commercial, Safety, ARFF and CFL teams for execution of Retail & Commercial projects.  
•    Develop project design, ensuring sign-offs with the Business Development Team and Concessionaires.
•    Communicate with Internal stakeholders i.e. Terminal Operations, Security, Commercial, Safety, ARFF and CFL teams for progress and developments of Retail & Commercial projects.
•    Compliance of statutory requirements as required by law or Regulatory guidelines is met by all agencies.
 

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

•    Preparation of project brief, cost proposals and planning in coordination with Business Development Team and Concessionaires.
•    Communicate with internal teams for design coordination and developments.
•    Preparation of design, specifications and all material approvals in coordination with Business Development Team and Concessionaires.
•    Coordinate architectural designs with structural & MEP and IT services
•    Coordinating and monitoring of designs with external consultations and sub-consultants. 
 

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

  • Worked in the project with Mechanical works Capex up to 75.00 Cr

OTHER DIMENSIONS

  • Handle a  team of 2 - 4 engineers

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

BE/B.Tech degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 9-11 years of experience in Mechanical Systems like HVAC, Firefighting and plumbing in complex projects ( Malls, Hospitals, Hotels and Public Facilities)
  • Well versed in the following:
    • Ability to interact with client.
    • Familiar with execution of architectural / interior works..
    • Knowledge of architectural and interior design and fit out.
