JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for finalization of various project contracts of a maximum individual value of 100 cr and overall value of contracts of about 500 cr in a year. Total number of contracts about 75 in no.  Contract administration wrt to claim and variation management

Accountabilities

Key Performance Indicators

Independently Lead / handle  procurement of Project capex works and major consultancies  of up to 100 cr ( maximum individual contract value). Overall about 75 contracts and 500 cr annually.

Timely completion of procurement activity,

Interact and suggest methods to optimize  during tender stage with users / bidders with a view to reduce time and costs for above

Optimisation of cost and time

Attend progress meetings and assist project team in contract administration issues including response to letters / claims / change order for above contracts

Project completion at minimum overrun in cost

Coordinate with various user departments / stake holders in relation to contract administration especially evaluation of change orders / variations and finalise the change order values to be recommended to management for approval

Change management

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Contractors; Clarifications, Negotiations, Problem solving

Consultants; New Projects etc.,

Auditors; for compliance

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

Interact with other / user Departments on a regular basis to:

  1. Find/suggest solutions to the problems/issues related to Procurement
  2. Address contract administration issues

Interactions with colleagues/ peers in the business and corporate

 

With finance, secretarial and other departments for enabling payments

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

Total Procurement value: Individual contracts – 100 cr. Overall value in a year – 500 cr. Total about 75 contracts in all

OTHER DIMENSIONS

A team of 2 to 3 no (  AM)

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

Engineer / Graduate with MBA

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

10+  total years of experience with experience in handling major project contracts including consultancies.
