To plan & operate the unit as unit controller during the shift, in a optimal way to ensure power generation meets the export schedule in a safe manner.




Key Performance Indicators

Execution & Monitoring :

  • Coordinating with field & Desk engineers to operate the equipment carefully and collecting relevant data about each and every rotating machine from time to time and analyze it with the help of past history of trends.
  • Responsible for Monitoring & maintaining all operating parameters such as pressure, temperature and flow within specified control limits to    ensure un-interrupted power generation.
  • Handling Start-up, Shut down and Emergency handlings of power plant as per standard operating procedures in a controlled way.
  • Carried out testing of DCS logics, Plant & individual equipment permissive, protections and interlocks.
  • Preparing defect and punch list from operation point of view and handed over to maintenance personnel to take necessary action.
  • Implementation of IMS and SAP for streamlining of operation procedures and permit to work system.
  • Taking sole responsibility in implementation of 350 MW simulators at site provided by Honeywell.
  • Keep track of the systems and equipment status with respect to healthiness, limitations and availability and decide load distribution among units based on real time capabilities..
  • Analyze process problems and suggest remedies.
  • Ensure all the protections and interlocks of equipment’s are in service and co-ordinate with other departments in changes when reqd and normalizing promptly for keeping the healthiness of those on record.

Safety & Emergency control:

  • Co-ordinate for facilitating and assistance in carrying out routine tests and checks.mainatain safe working conditions and good housekeeping.
  • Assist shift In charge keep track of all systems including safety during emergency during non-office as per site emergency plan arrive and take-over.
