Operations Commander

JOB PURPOSE
The Operations Commander is responsible for leading and managing all day-to-day operational aspects of the ARFF department as per ICAO , DGCA & NFPA Guidelines . This role ensures full compliance with national and International aviation fire safety standards and regulations, oversees incident response readiness, manages shift personnel, and ensures effective coordination during emergencies. The Operations Commander also plays a critical role in training, mentoring, and evaluating ARFF staff.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- BE/MI Fire or Graduate preferably with science from any recognized University
- Senior Fire Officer Course (SFO) from any Aviation academy or equivalent Course (Divisional Fire Officer Course from NFSC Nagpur or any recognized institute).
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Experience of minimum 8 years as station in-charge of Category 7 Airport or 5 years experience as operations commander of Category 9 Airport
- Minimum 12 years’ experience out of which minimum 3 years in managerial level in an Airport handling around 300 Air Traffic Movements (ATMs) per day.
