JOB PURPOSE
This position at the Sector level will be responsible for monitoring the compliance of the organization’s safety management system (SMS). Help develop a formalized, shared and consolidated strategic vision on Airside Safety.
The manager will perform oversight function in ensuring compliance to national and international regulations by airports.
Also establish monitoring process for airport safety to the requirements of aerodrome manuals, international and local regulations, through expertise, support on-site and remote support and monitoring.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Enhanced safety management
Contribute to enhancement of safety management processes and procedures
2. Safety Culture at Airside:
Model and promote an organizational culture that fosters safety practices (regulatory practices and rules, standard operations procedures, compliance monitoring…)
3. Information gateway:
Act as an information conduit to bring safety issues (incidents/ bird strikes/ excursions, etc) to the attention of management and to deliver safety information to the organization’s staff, contractors and stakeholders.
Coordinate and spur risk assessments by the assets and track the mitigation measures.
4. Safety audit planning and implementation
Contribute to safety audit plan and implantation of the same across all the airports of GMR
5. Provide and articulate information regarding safety issues within the organization (findings, KPI, actions plan, standardization)
6. Monitoring of Hazard logs/ Central Risk Register of each airport asset and contribution to Risk mapping analysis
7. Analyze technical data for trends related to hazards, events and occurrences
8. Ensure up-to-date safety related documentation and records are available for each airport assets
9. Promote innovation process at the Airside of each airport and IT development tool on safety
10. Conduct Cross-functional inter-airport Airside Safety audits
11. Follow TNI and its compliance for all airport assets pertaining to Airside Safety
12. Monitoring of SMS compliance and implementation for various airport assets
13. Participate in ICAO Change Management process (safety cases, risk assessment, etc)
