JOB PURPOSE

Purpose: Ensuring the environmental compliance required under various regulations of (MoEF, DPCC, MoCA & DGCA and Wildlife & Forest Department) & its Conformance to respective ministry and regulators. Keep the validity of environmental license of DIAL for airport operation and take measure to comply with the needs of new business/infrastructure developments. The Environmental Compliance Manager will communicate and interact with all stakeholders across all areas of the business and assets in order to obtain information and insights and maintain effective relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure organization compliance. Detailed Purpose (JD): Apply, obtain and maintain environmental licenses for Airport from ministry and regulators for projects: Environment Clearance from MoEF Consent to Operate, Hazardous Waste Authorizations from pollution control boards Ensure Environmental Compliance Fulfillments, Monitoring & Conformance to Ministry & Regulators : Implement infrastructure, system, programs as per Environment Clearance of MoEF, Consent to Operate from Pollution Control Board & Policy needs as per MoCA and DGCA Regulations as per Circular and Civil Aviation Requirements for entire DIAL and compliance of IGIA Stakeholders. Perform the submission of 6 monthly compliance report to MoEF Perform the submission of Environment Statement to pollution control board Perform the submission of Environment Strategy plans and achievements to AAI as per OMDA. Perform submission of Water cess return, Fly ash returns, Battery waste return, Hazardous waste return, E- Waste and bio medical waste return s to pollution control board. Perform submission of emission and noise reporting to DGCA as per CAR Ensure Environment Monitoring as per DPCC & DGCA: Conduct and Verify Environment Monitoring programs on Monitoring of Air, Water, Ambient Noise, DG Sets Monitoring, Wet scrubber operations Analyze and verify the monitoring data, results & report to concerns stakeholders. Conduct and Verify Ambient Air Quality Modeling and report to concerns stakeholders. Implementing and review water conservation & water and waste management and rainwater harvesting system. Verify the compliance and performance of Sewage Treatment Plant & Effluent Treatment Plants and report to concerns stakeholders. Verify the ground water level and rainwater harvesting performance Implement stakeholders compliance system and engagement programs Implement sustainability initiative at IGIA with IGIA stakeholders. Ensure the Payments to all the vendors in time and procurements steps well before contract expires.

This position at the Sector level will be responsible for monitoring the compliance of the organization’s safety management system (SMS). Help develop a formalized, shared and consolidated strategic vision on Airside Safety.

 

The manager will perform oversight function in ensuring compliance to national and international regulations by airports.

 

Also establish monitoring process for airport safety to the requirements of aerodrome manuals, international and local regulations, through expertise, support on-site and remote support and monitoring.

1.    Enhanced safety management 
Contribute to enhancement of safety management processes and procedures
2.    Safety Culture at Airside:
Model and promote an organizational culture that fosters safety practices  (regulatory practices and rules, standard operations procedures, compliance monitoring…)
3.    Information gateway:
Act as an information conduit to bring safety issues (incidents/ bird strikes/ excursions, etc) to the attention of management and to deliver safety information to the organization’s staff, contractors and stakeholders. 
Coordinate and spur risk assessments by the assets and track the mitigation measures.
4.    Safety audit planning and implementation
Contribute to safety audit plan and implantation of the same across all the airports of GMR
5.    Provide and articulate information regarding safety issues within the organization (findings, KPI, actions plan, standardization)
6.     Monitoring of Hazard logs/ Central Risk Register of each airport asset and contribution to Risk mapping analysis
7.    Analyze technical data for trends related to hazards, events and occurrences
8.    Ensure up-to-date safety related documentation and records are available for each airport assets
9.    Promote innovation process at the Airside of each airport and IT development tool on safety
10.    Conduct Cross-functional inter-airport Airside Safety audits
11.    Follow TNI and its compliance for all airport assets pertaining to Airside Safety
12.    Monitoring of SMS compliance and implementation for various airport assets
13.    Participate in ICAO Change Management process (safety cases, risk assessment, etc)
