JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for the Safety and Security of Cargo Complex as in-charge of a Shift.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

•    Maintain the standards set by regulatory authority including 20 minutes rotation of screeners, mandatory physical check of cargo, ETD check, affixing of security stickers, up keeping of documents, training records, not permitting failed screeners to perform screening, CSD compliance, etc.
•    Briefing, proper supervision, deployment and guiding of Raxa security personnel, report any violations or failures committed by such staff deployed in the terminal.
•    Complete preparation and involvement to conduct mock exercises towards creating awareness amongst facility users.
•    Prepare for any given audit / inspection, brief staff and present properly.
•    Maintain regular contact with airlines and BCAS officials and update knowledge in BCAS Circulars and Orders which, invariably to be shared with S & S team.
•    Securing of valuable and vulnerable cargo, strict control over access to the strong rooms, regular counter checks over CCTV monitoring.
•    Monitor Vehicle Parking Management to prevent any possible misappropriation and keep correct record of all transactions.
•    Regulate access control effectively, including walk in customers, UB customers and agents.  None should enter to the restricted area without verification of authenticity and issuance of permission by the DM
•    Walk around and observe the terminal operational activities, agents, airlines staff, drivers and other facility users are not indulging in dishonest or fraudulent acts.
•    Conduct internal audits/inspections on various security and safety aspects and submit report.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Any Graduate with Basic AVSEC Course Certified mandatory.
  •  Stand-alone / Inline Baggage Screening Certified will be added advantage, Dangerous Goods Regulations Cat-12 Qualified and AVSEC Supervisory Course Certified are preferred.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in aviation security field.
  • Experiences in Stand-alone or Inline Baggage Screening System and good exposure in Supervisory role will be preferred.
