Responsible & Leading Team Electrical for Electrical Maintenance of BTG, 400kV Switchyard, 400kV Line and Electrical Testing Lab. Contributing in continuous & smooth Operation of Power Plant and for maximum availability of Electrical equipment’s.  Closure of Project Electrical packages.




Key Performance Indicators

Electrical Preventive, Predictive, Break down & Overhauling maintenance of Electrical equipment’s of BTG package .Implementation of PM schedules, CM activities for reduction of breakdown & increase of availability factor.

Reduction of breakdown hrs.

Electrical Preventive, Predictive, Break down Maintenance of 400kV Switchyard & 400kV Line & Periodic Testing of Electrical Equipment’s.

Reduction of breakdown hrs. & Effective performance of equipment’s.

Subordinates  skill development for critical equipment  like AVR ,VFD,UPS etc.

Skill development & performance of team.

Ensure availability of Critical & Noncritical Spares and Inventory Management as per plant requirement within budget allocation.

Availability of required spares.

Liaison & Communication with PGCIL, WRLDC, CSPDCL, CEA & CEIG. & CSR activities.

Timely approvals & clearances of Electrical systems. 


External - Roles  you need to interact with outside the organization to enable success in your day to day work

Liaison & interaction with PGCIL, WRLDC, CSPDCL, CEA, CEIG for Plant Electrical Clearances, Shutdowns & Operation.

Interaction with EPC Project Vendors for Package closure and takeover of Packages.

Interaction with Electrical Vendors & Service providers for Spares & Services.


Internal - Roles you need to interact with inside the organization to enable success in your day to day work

Interaction with Maintenance Planning, Operation team & Maintenance team for carrying out day to day maintenance activities & breakdown rectifications.

Daily interaction with Electrical team & Maintenance Contractor team for carrying out day to day maintenance activities & breakdown rectifications.

Interaction with Operation & Maintenance Head and departments like Stores, Safety, Commercial.

Interaction with Subordinates for skill development through training & onsite knowledge sharing.

Attending coordination meetings with other departments.


  • Annual operating budget for Electrical maintenance 11.25 cr.
  • Cost optimization in project.
  • CIP for cost control measures.


  • 10 Nos. Electrical Team members, 24 Nos. BTG Maintenance Contract workmen, 5 Nos. Transmission Line Contract workmen, 4 Nos. Switchyard Contract workmen.


  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering 1994
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering 2003 
  • Trouble shooting and root cause analysis of Electrical Problems, Testing of Electrical Equipment’s.
  • Trainer role for Training of subordinates for skill development.


20.5 total  years of experience in Electrical Maintainace in ( O & M) / Projects

10 year  relevant experience of Thermal Power Plants.
