JOB PURPOSE

To plan, develop and implement the right blend of maintenance strategies for the Electrical BOP auxiliaries & Transmission and distribution lines of 600 MW IPP and CAPEX planning, so as to make the equipment available for power generation - within the budgeted R&M cost. To plan and achieve the availability of the related equipment’s at high reliability levels with identifying the attributes for asset management , information security , energy saving and implementation of energy improvement project – while complying with high standards on safety & statutory need.

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

  • Power Grid Corporation(PGCIL) at local & central level on power flow, establishing data communication, Metering data, Bay maintenance.
  • WRLDC official communication and discussion on improvement to of transmission reliability, coordination on change in regulation, change in technology etc
  • Interact with MSETCL officials in western region at Mumbai & Nagpur with SLDC regarding power flow, establishing data communication, metering and making grid discipline on O&M.
  • CEA officials at Central level to get periodic approval on Electrical installations to run equipment.
  • Interact Maintenance Heads and O&M Heads of other Plants in the Industrial vicinity.
  • Equipment Manufacturers, Suppliers, Fabricators & Maintenance Service Providers.
  • Technical Consultants & Experts on Thermal Power Plant Technology.
  • All Major Maintenance Service (AMC) Partners working in the Plant.
  • Local Community Members & Maintenance Service Providers.

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

  • Interact with Departmental employees on a regular basis to understand their techno-commercial & behavioral needs and be respondent to them on all their issues.
  • Interact with other Departmental Heads on a regular basis for mutual aids and building cross functional relationship.
  • Interact with Operation Department Heads CHP & AHP Heads and support in maintenance services to meet the Generation targets.
  • Interactions with colleagues/peers in the Business and Corporate.

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

  • Minimize and to maintain Annual Maintenance Cost less than 85 % of the allotted budget.
  • Estimate, evaluate risk and long term profit assessment in Crores on Capital Expenditure Budget
  • Plan and perform the Capital Overhauling of unit in 36 Days save revenue loss and Within budget in Crores.
  • Inventory Plan and Cost effective procurement approach

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 6-8 Total Years of Experience in Electrical Maintenance of Thermal Power Plant Equipment, with 8+ Years of relevant Experience in Leading the Electrical Maintenance function of a Thermal Power Plant having Unit size of 300 MW and above.
