JOB PURPOSE

To ensure the healthiness and effective performance of all the systems in the organization, by better quality control and monitoring as specified by the OEM of the system to the best accuracy level upgraded in the laboratory management. To deliver qualified water for respective system effectively, complying all the standards of the approved by organization.

INTERACTIONS

External Internal

External - Need to interact with outside the organization to enable success in your day to day work.

  • Service providers - for laboratory instrument calibration and maintenance
  • Associates employees -for day to day trouble shooting.
  • Service provider for coal sampling, CW treatment & third party coal analysis.
Auditors and NABL bodies for audits

Internal - Need to interact within the organization to enable success in your day to day work and reporting.

  • Departmental head and sectional heads
  • Shift charge engineer and control room engineers
  • Maintenance team and EHS team.
  • Secuity, commercial and finance team.

 

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

  • Selection of Cost effective chemicals, specific reduction in consumables and raw materials. Monitor and control the quality loss of coal. Adoptability of new techniques or treatment for profitability of the organization.
  • Monitor & controlling the cost of water treatment to meet the approved AOP.
  • Optimize the chemical treatment for cost optimization and adopt new technology.

OTHER DIMENSIONS

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • MSc (Chem.) with 15 yrs. experience / B.E in Chemical Engineering with 8 years of experience

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Experience of 8-15 years (based on education qualification MSc./B.E) out of which minimum 8 years to be in Chemistry & Operation of DM Plant/WTP of Power Plant >100MW Capacity.
