PURPOSE
To lead and drive Project planning, Scheduling, and progress monitoring functions to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of construction projects. The role focuses on developing robust project controls, integrating multidisciplinary inputs, and proactively identifying risks and mitigation strategies. It also ensures accurate reporting and data-driven decision-making aligned with organizational objectives.
ORGANIZATION
Position reports to CPM / PM and may have 1-3 reportees depending on approved org chart.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Lead end-to-end project tracking against the master schedule, driving timely identification of deviations and formulation of recovery/catch-up plans.

Develop and manage detailed schedules and rolling look-ahead plans, ensuring alignment with key milestones and work package priorities.

Monitor critical path activities, productivity rates, and site progress; proactively highlight risks and advise mitigation strategies to the Project Manager.

Drive coordination with contractors for target achievement, resource optimization, and resolution of execution constraints.

Prepare and analyze planned vs. actual progress (S-curves), production rates, and Estimates-to-Complete (ETC) for effective project control.

Ensure accurate and timely updating of schedules, material trackers, and progress data across all stakeholders.

Maintain robust site progress documentation including daily records and photographic evidence.

Generate periodic MIS reports, dashboards, and executive presentations (PPTs) for senior management and client stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making.

Support integrated reporting by consolidating inputs across disciplines and ensuring consistency in project performance communication.
EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS
- Interface with external consultants, contractors, and vendors to drive execution alignment, resolve interdependencies, and ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
INTERNAL INTERACTIONS
- Engage and coordinate with the Reporting Manager, internal teams, cross-functional heads, and user departments to drive alignment, resolve dependencies, and ensure seamless project execution.
FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS
- Planning & Programming for Mega size projects with Capex 100 Cr
OTHER DIMENSIONS
- To handle team of 2-4 engineers
- Managing Multiple Vendors and Stakeholders
- Vast co-ordination (involving several teams across locations)
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- B.E / B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical Engineering
- Post-Graduation / Diploma in Construction Management would be preferable
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Total experience of 9 to 11 years of experience
- Relevant experience in planning role for 4+ years
